Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro caught on Geekbench before launch

The launch of Xiaomi's next best buy, at least for the mid-range, is following quite a special procedure. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is indeed first gone for sale on the AliExpress Chinese marketplace at the price of about 176 € (3GB / 32GB) and then be caught on the benchmark site Geekbench, in fact confirming the technical specifications previously seen online.

If we take into account the information available on Geekbench and its results, we can say with certainty that the smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 CPU octa-core with a base frequency of 1.61Ghz, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and Android 8.1.0 as operating system.

The rest of the hardware is therefore also almost entirely confirmed by the listing on AliExpress, in particular we talk about a display from 6.26 inches with Full HD resolution + (1080 x 2160), an aspect ratio 19: 9 and a notch in the upper part, that could even be a step back for some, with the same specifications with the previous Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. On the other hand, the new Note 6 Pro would have two front cameras from 20MP and 2MP to create photos with the bokeh effect that goes so fashionable.

Other details include the same huge Redmi Note 5 battery with 4000mAh capacity, hybrid SIM slot (2 nano SIM / 1 nano SIM + micro SD), two rear cameras with 12 MP main optics with dual tone LED flash and size pixels from 1.4μm, Dual PD focusing, secondary camera from 5 megapixel. Of course, there is no fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone, infrared sensor to control various electronic devices at a distance, a tiny micro-USB port (when USB Type-C, Xiaomi?) And an 3.5mm input to connect headphones or speakers exterior.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will exit the factory with MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1.0 but will soon be upgradeable to the Android MIUI 10.
