While in the last few days we were busy writing some teasers that anticipate the next one Redmi G gaming laptop, Xiaomi's sub-brand has apparently launched a new laptop on the Chinese store JingDong: the RedmiBook Air 13.
RedmiBook Air 13 is the new super light ultrabook with 2.5K screen
As the name suggests, the RedmiBook Air 13 is a device that belongs to the ultrabook category. It is therefore very light and thin, although this slightly affects performance.
But let's start with the external features. The RedmiBook Air 13 adopts a full metal body with dimensions 297.5mm × 212mm, a thickness of 12.99mm and a weight of only 1,05kg. So it is one of the thinnest and lightest laptops ever released by the brand, in fact it is comparable to the more premium Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5 ″ released several years ago.
Although the external dimensions are similar, the RedmiBook Air 13 manages to equip a larger display, we are talking about 13,3 inches. But the most interesting data is the resolution which quite unexpectedly reaches 2.5K, specifically we are talking about 2560 x 1600 pixels. Abnormal resolution that brings us a radio aspect of 16:10, instead of the typical 16: 9. This means that the display is slightly higher and therefore relatively better for browsing online, writing texts and much more. Finally, the panel is also of quality with a 100% sRGB color gamut.
As for the internal specs, Redmi's ultrabook is equipped with a 5th generation Intel Core i10210-8Y processor, with four cores and eight threads. The CPU is then paired with 16GB or 512GB of RAM and a standard 41GB SSD. To power the whole there is an integrated XNUMX Wh battery that can be recharged through one of the two USB Type-C ports that we find on the right side.
Finally, the RedmiBook Air 13 uses an all-copper heat dissipation module and dual grid design for hot air to escape, supports Fn + K intelligent performance selection mode, and is equipped with a wireless network card WiFi 6.
The laptop is priced at 4899 Yuan (600 €) for the version with 8GB of RAM and 5199 Yuan (630 €) for the one with 16GB.
