Xiaomi, the famous Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced the completion and start of production of its Smart Factory in Changping, in Beijing. This is the second smart factory built by the group, which focuses on producing high-end phones, such as the Xiaomi 14 (Bay Blue color) and Xiaomi 14Ultra.

Changping Smart Factory has one annual production capacity of over 10 million units, making it the first large-scale factory in Xiaomi's history. The founder and CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, declared that this is another important milestone in the company's intelligent manufacturing strategy, which aims to revolutionize the smartphone manufacturing process, entrusting it to intelligent machines capable of operating autonomously and continuous.
The factory is equipped with a software and assembly and testing equipment completely developed by Xiaomi, which allow it to independently analyze, decide and evolve production data. The factory is also fully automated and digitalized, which greatly improves efficiency and product quality.
Changping Smart Factory is the second phase of the Xiaomi project, which started in 2020 with the construction of the first smart factory in Yizhuang, also in Beijing. This factory, known as the "Black Light Factory", has a production capacity of one million smartphones per year and produced last year's top of the range, the Xiaomi 13.
With the second phase of production, Xiaomi hopes to solve the problem of the low availability of its phones in China, where they are sold in small quantities.
