Xiaomi 14 Ultra officially anticipated, presentation date revealed

Xiaomi 14Ultra

The design of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra follows that of its predecessor, but with some new features. The circular rear camera module has been integrated into the body, eliminating the step that characterized the previous model. The module is decorated with golden rings which give it an elegant and refined appearance. The back is made of vegan leather, available in black or white, and has a metal frame that wraps around the sides, with a greater curvature to improve ergonomics.

The screen of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is one of its strong points. It is a 6,73-inch AMOLED panel, with 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. But the most interesting feature is its microscopic curvature on all four sides, which makes it infinitely close to a flat screen, but with the tactile sensation of a curved screen.

This technology, called full-depth micro-curved screen, was first introduced on the Xiaomi 14 Pro, and requires a very complex and expensive manufacturing process. Xiaomi had to analyze the stress of every single piece of the screen, and modify the thickness and physical properties of the film at the micron level, to obtain a curvature without creases or cracks. The result is a screen that offers an exceptional viewing experience, with a peak brightness of 3.000 nits.

The camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is another highlight. The smartphone mounts four sensors of 50 MP each, with Leica lenses. The main sensor is 1 inch, with f/1.6 aperture, and guarantees superior photographic and video quality. The smartphone supports video recording in 8K at 24 fps, 4K at 60 fps and slow motion up to 1920 fps at 1080p. The other sensors are an ultra-wide angle, a telephoto lens with 3,2x optical zoom and a periscope with 5x optical zoom.

Under the body of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra beats the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the most powerful on the market, made at 4 nm and equipped with a 4 GHz Cortex X3,3 core, an Adreno 750 GPU and an engine dedicated to artificial intelligence. The smartphone has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory, and a 5.300 mAh battery, with 90W fast charging via cable and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone is water and dust resistant, with IP68 certification, and has an optical fingerprint reader under the screen.
