OnePlus, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer, recently admitted that it had made a mistake regarding the internal memory of its latest model, the One Plus 12R. The company has indeed confirmed that all variants of the device use the UFS 3.1 storage system, and not the faster and more powerful UFS 4.0 as advertised for the 16GB of RAM and 256GB of memory version.

The error was discovered by some users who noticed differences in read and write speeds between the OnePlus 12R and other smartphones equipped with UFS 4.0. OnePlus then apologized for the inconvenience and explained that it was a communication error due to confusion between the different component suppliers.
However, the apologies were not enough to calm the discontent of many consumers who had already ordered the OnePlus 12R expecting to receive a product with the promised features. For this reason, OnePlus has decided to offer a full refund to all owners of the OnePlus 12R 256GB who are not satisfied with the UFS 3.1 storage.
OnePlus president and COO Kinder Liu announced the decision in a post on the company's official forum, where he also provided instructions for requesting a refund. Affected users should contact customer support teams, who have been informed of the situation, and follow the steps outlined. The refund is valid until March 16th, so you need to hurry up and make your request.
OnePlus also underlined that the OnePlus 12R remains a mid-range smartphone with impressive specifications, which are not affected by UFS 3.1 storage. The device actually has a s6,7 inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, peak brightness of 4.500 nits and 120Hz refresh rate. THEThe rear camera is made up of three sensors, of which the main one is 50MP. processor is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, combined with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of memory. The battery is 5.000mAh and supports 100W fast charging.
