We have seen so many interesting products on the official website of the ecosystem Xiaomi, but what we are going to discover today is perhaps one of the most intriguing ever. As you may have already understood from the title, it is a product that will come in handy in the winter season if you don't already have another heating system.
The Smart Frog Desktop Heater is in fact an electric warmer with the particularity that it can, indeed must, be used on a table or desk. So it differs slightly from the typical warmers we are going to place on the floor.
Smart Frog Desktop Heater presented, the innovative table warmer
The Smart Frog warmer uses a heating technology called PTC with ceramic. This system allows the air to be heated very quickly, to be precise in just three seconds. PTC technology is also more efficient than the others, safer and has a longer life.
Another strong point of this warmer is the noise produced by it. The Smart Frog Desktop Heater produces only 45 decibels of noise, so we can use it anywhere without disturbing the people next to us.
Obviously there are different temperature settings ranging from environmental (not heated) and light heating to the second mode that makes the warmer run at maximum power. Speaking of power, the device consumes about 500W in the first heating mode, while if configured in the second mode we have a consumption of about 1000W. Xiaomi has not communicated the data regarding the mode with only the fan activated, but we expect much less power.
Finally, the Smart Frog warmer has several safety systems against overheating, the RoHS certification, the UL94V0 and a range of 60 degrees to heat an area of around 10 square meters.
The Smart Frog Desktop Heater is now for sale on the Xiaomi (Chinese) site at the 149 Yuan figure, or on the 19 euros at current exchange rates. We remember as always that these are prices dedicated to the Chinese market that will see price increases once they are sold by third-party stores.
The best for winter evenings to spend sitting and watching TV. The only thing that worries me is the consumption, how much can it cost per month with a use of 1/2 hours every night?
