Mijia is one of the most popular Xiaomi ecosystem brands in the world, perhaps second only to the Redmi brand which became independent at the beginning of the year. In fact, Mijia produces an immense amount of electronics for the home but not only, among these products we have smart lights, vacuum cleaners, electric toothbrushes and video cameras. Precisely for these last ones, Mijia has today released a new product, we are talking about a new series of microSD memory cards that will work perfectly with the surveillance cameras already on sale.
Xiaomi launches new microSD Mijia up to 128GB, but not only
To be precise, the brand has launched three new 32GB memory cards for 39 Yuan (about 5 euros), 64GB for 59 Yuan (on 7,50 €) and 128GB for 99 Yuan (12,70 €).
The smallest microSD card in capacity (from 32GB) and in white color can record and play ultra 4K UHD video, with a reading speed of up to 95 MB / s, while the 64GB and 128GB versions have a read speed of up to 100 MB / s, to be able to transfer an 3GB video in about 38 seconds.
In terms of usable space, on the microSD it will be possible to record around 4 hours of video in 4K UHD format, but if we go down to Full HD resolution we can save up to eight and a half hours of video. Finally, if you prefer to keep only images, on 64GB memory we could hold about 14 thousand photos.
The microSD cards have six types of protection: resistance to high and low temperatures, impermeability, anti-dust, antistatic, antimagnetic and can pass through the X-ray machine of the airport without problems.
Xiaomi Xiaobai Smart Camera Battery Edition
As we said earlier, these memory cards were created especially to work in conjunction with Mijia surveillance cameras such as the Smart Camera PTZ Version, the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Camera, the Mijia Xiaobai Smart Camera Enhanced Version, the Xiaobai Smart Camera Battery Version and other video cameras. Xiaomi also states that with a miscroSD from 64GB and 1080p video camera it will be possible to record around 50 thousand video notifications and record 24 hours on 24 in loop.
Obviously it seems right to specify that the microSD cards work perfectly with any other compatible device. So even those few smartphones and tablets with still a microSD slot (for example the Redmi Note 7), or the much-loved action cams like those produced by Mijia (see Mijia 4K Panorama Action Camera Black).
But the new Mijia microSD cards are not the only products to be presented today. Another Xiaomi sub-brand, ZMI, has in fact launched a very interesting new power strip. In fact, the ZMI 6-socket Power Strip equips six types of electrical sockets to connect the most energy-intensive devices as well as two USB ports for recharging smartphones, tablets or other devices.
We can then power appliances such as hairdryers, televisions, stereo speakers, lamps or other with the six standard sockets (for China), while the two USB ports support a maximum power of well 18W, so great for recharging smartphones that support it with faster top-up. In any case, the multi-socket supports the outputs: 5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, 12V / 1.5A, if a single port is used, instead in dual mode it goes down to a maximum output of 5V / 3A, or 15W.
The new ZMI power strip then adopts a high quality integrated copper strip to reduce safety risks such as overheating and improve conductivity. Finally, we have an 1,8 meter cable so that it can also be connected to a relatively distant wall socket.
The ZMI 6-socket Power Strip is on sale on the Xiaomi website for the price of 69 Yuan, or on the 8,85 € at the current exchange rate. We remember as always that these are prices dedicated to the Chinese market that will see price increases once they are sold by third-party stores.
