Xiaomi has always been a manufacturer that has stood out against the competition for the high quality of its products and the price of the same very low. In short, a very high quality price ratio. However, this could change when the Xiaomi Mi5 was launched. Actually, the first signs of it have already happened with the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.
According to what emerged on the net recently (it is a rumor), the sale price of Xiaomi Mi5 could be higher than expected due to Xiaomi's desire to establish itself on the market also as a Premium brand. The rumor emerged from a fairly authoritative source, namely the head of the China Telecom Guangzhou Research Institute.
According to it, the cost of Xiaomi Mi5 will be between 2.000 and 3.000 yuan which, at current exchange rates, are equivalent to approximately 285-425 euro. However, this thesis contrasts with the actual volume of sales that Xiaomi expects from Mi5: raising the price will mean decreasing the number of units sold, which is absolutely contrary to company policy. We talked earlier about the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro: the high price of that smartphone has compromised a bit of sales, so we think that Xiaomi will think about it well before deciding on the sale price of the new top smartphone.
Do you think so? Do you believe that the policy up to now held by Xiaomi will continue with the Mi5?
