XiaomiTool, a Swiss knife for modifying Xiaomi devices

The greater the spread of a smartphone, the greater will probably be the modding that concerns it. With Xiaomi devices starting to take hold even in countries where the company has not officially entered, good news is coming for all owners of a Xiaomi smartphone, or nearly so.

The Italian modder Linuxxxx, Senior Member of the XDA developers forum, has in fact released a software, known as XiaomiTool, which allows to manage Xiaomi smartphones in a very complete way, allowing operations such as root, recovery change, installation of new ROMs and the backup.

Xiaomi toolThe image you see above contains the official list of smartphones supported by this software. As easily notable, smartphones with MediaTek processors are excluded from the support, resulting once again distant from the world of modding. The rest of the Xiaomi devices are supported or with incoming support, except for Mi1 which will not receive support.

The software now allows you to do the following:

  • Backup & Restore
  • Import Photo
  • Root
  • Control of non-original devices (Xiaomi products clones)
  • Install applications
  • Shell Adb
  • Inserting and extracting files
  • Switch to Dalvik
  • Switching to ART
  • Screen Recording
  • Installing a Custom Recovery
  • Partitioning (Mi series devices * only)
  • Custom ROMs flash (all automatic, including wipe)
  • Flash si Zip file

The software is open source and freely downloadable, and as you can see it allows many operations that will simplify the life of users. To download the program, compatible with Windows, GNU / Linux and Mac computers, you can use this link in the official discussion on XDA.

Good evening,
is there a reliable link where you can download a recent version of the Mac-specific XiomiTool? I would like to debrand my Redmi Note 11 NFC.

Thanks to those who could give me directions.
