After an unofficial release, we can announce that the Xposed Framework elaborated by Rovo89 has finally been unveiled and made available for download! Maybe a bit late, as the first beta ROMs released were already released Android Oreo, but we assure you that, as I said before, the work done by the developer is priceless considering the great differences and the great difficulties introduced by Nougat.
Time, however, has given its fruit. Despite a first attempt made by other developers who had introduced an ART subform to make Xposed compatible with Nougat, the Lead Developer Rovo89 it has always been said to be contrary to this as this change goes against what its thinking was about the Framework. Moreover, the subform has created more problems than compatibility, as many modules were full of bugs and not perfectly compatible.
But the great news came in the last few days: Rovo89 has released the first Xposed Framework officially compatible with Android Nougat 7.0 / 7.1.
Xposed for Nougat? But is not it a bit late?
Well, apart from the due thanks to Rovo89, you have to point out a few things. First of all it is true that Android Oreo has already been unveiled and released on some devices, but just see what the spread of Android operating systems is to realize how Xposed release for Nougat is not so late.
As you can see, only the 0,2% of global Android devices have been upgraded to Oreo, while Nougat and Marshallow systems split nearly half of the cake, with the overall 49,8%.
If you've come to read so far, probably you will not need to explain what Xposed is and what customizations you can apply to your device. In short, if I should explain what Xposed is, describe it as "a way to customize whatever you head to your Android device".
How to install the new Xposed for Android Nougat?
- Enabled root permissions
- TWRP Recovery Installed
- ROM Android 7.0 / 7.1
THEinstallation of Xposed is very simple.
Download the Installer apk from this button.
Download Xposed Installer 3.1.2Download the version of Xposed to flash through TWRP, selecting the one that is compatible with Nougat 7.0 (SDK24) or Nougat 7.1 (SDK25) and the one specific for the architecture of your processor (arm / arm64 / x86).
Xposed Framework SDK24 (Android 7.0) - Xposed Framework SDK25 (Android 7.1)
Flash the Frame zip from TWRP and then install the apk that you downloaded earlier.
You will have your Xposed beautiful and working on Android Nougat.
