Now TWS headphones are part of our daily life and therefore the need to have an extremely comfortable product with compact dimensions is fundamental, especially if you are a person with small ears. In this case, the new 1More solution could be a turning point, namely the ComfoBuds Mini, equipped with noise cancellation and which boast the record of being among the smallest in the world to be equipped with ANC. Let's find out together in this review.

From the very first moment we are told that we are dealing with a refined and quality product, in fact the sensation to the touch with the 1More ComfoBuds Mini charging egg is very pleasant and nothing is left to chance. In fact, on the back we have a sort of slight hollow that indicates the precise space in which to place the box on a wireless charger, as there is the possibility of wireless charging.

The construction materials are plastic, it could not be otherwise, but well finished and then the opaque white color gives elegance to the product. On the front we find a small LED indicating the status of the residual charge, positioned above the company logo, while below we find the Type-C input for wired charging. The tapered shape of the case, like an egg, guarantees a good grip and comfort when placed in a trouser pocket (weight of only 42,3 grams case + earphones), while on the right side there is a button for the eventual reset of the earphones and / or pairing with compatible devices.

The hinged lid is excellent, which integrates both a magnet for closing and the hall sensor for immediate connection to the smartphone, without even removing the headphones from their seat, also enriched by a magnet to hold the headphones firmly and protect them from accidental falls, but if necessary, removing the earphones is an easy operation. The lid opens and closes with excellent precision and without wobbling or flaccidity of any kind. The ComfoBuds Mini are finished with the same material as the charging egg and their size is really small (17x15x13 mm and weighs only 3,7 grams), perfect for "minute" users, perhaps a little less for those with "squat hands" ”Like mine, but there is IPX5 certification, so that during training they resist water even if they fall into a puddle.

Let's get rid of the disturbance on the autonomy paragraph, because the 1More ComfoBuds Mini do not disappoint at all, offering 5/6 hours of autonomy with a single charge whether or not the ANC function is activated, this thanks to a 34mAh battery, while the case that enjoys instead of a 440 mAh unit, offers at least 3 more recharges, thus bringing the autonomy in the range between 20 and 24 hours total. But do not worry if you find yourself short of energy, because the 1More headphones offer a fast charging function that with just 10 minutes gives you at least 80 minutes of music playback.

Coming back to comfort, you wouldn't expect such small earphones and especially with in-ear design to be so comfortable. The ComfoBuds Mini make the feeling of "muffling" disappear in the ears and this means that you will wear them for hours without feeling any discomfort. In the package, however, you will find 4 different sizes for the silicone pads, making the perfect fit for each user.

Despite the ultra compact size, these TWS earphones do not miss anything, starting from the presence of the proximity sensor with which to play / pause a music track simply by removing / inserting the headset from the ears (function that can also be deactivated). There is also a small LED on the bud, which immediately gives us an idea of ​​the connection with the smartphone and there is not even the touch surface with which to issue the commands, this result precise and reliable in the reception of the touch.

In this regard, the commands are distinguished in double and triple tap or long press and can be configured via the companion app. It is not possible to set a command on a single earphone, but this will be replicated on the other, for example if I decide that with the double tap I control the volume on the right earphone, for example, I cannot skip the music track with the left one. The commands are specifically skip track, play / pause, volume control and call up the voice assistant but of course I can also control calls, hooking up, answering or rejecting the same.

The app is available for both Android and iOS systems, with connection that takes place by means of a Bluetooth 5.2, resetting the delay and through it I can also update the firmware of the 1More ComfoBuds Mini, but above all I can access a customization of the sound in the headphones , through a series of tests that the software will ask me to carry out, in order to make the sound timbre that best suits my hearing unique. On the other hand, there is no possibility of associating the headset with two devices at the same time, skipping quickly between one device and another, but what is nice is the presence of some white noises with relative timer that will allow us to fall asleep with headphones worn accompanied by such sounds. . There are also special functions, such as the ability to bring up a pop-up in the style of Apple's Airpods and the Sleep Detection mode. In short, a well-made app, reliable, simple to use and full of surprises.

However, we come to the most important part for a TWS headset or the quality of sound and calls through the microphones, which in the case of the 1More ComfoBuds Mini are 4 in total. Considering the small size, the earphones of the Chinese brand offer an impressive amount of bass without overshadowing the medium-high tones. Overall it creates depth and immersion in listening to all musical genres as well as TV / Film series even if in this case, specifically in the reproduction of voices, there is a little lack of speech clarity.

Overall I promote audio but it is perhaps on call that these headphones give their best, thanks to the 4 dedicated ENC microphones with DNN Clear Talk technology. And then the ANC, the active noise reduction, with 3 different selection modes, one of which is dedicated to wind noise reduction and for the other two the level between mild and strong is selectable (up to -40dB). There is also the transparency mode.

In short, customization of the usage scenarios, using the mild ANC for example for the interior of offices and the home, or the stronger one to be used for example in the restaurant to suppress background chatter, etc. For calls, microphones they do a great job, separating our voice from the background noise, restoring brilliance to our interlocutor. I happened to have a conversation while walking in the middle of a busy street and my interlocutor didn't even notice. I conclude by saying that the 1More ComfoBuds Mini are independent so you can use them individually for calls and music.

Personally I believe that 1More with the experience acquired in the past, is maturing more and more in the market of true wireless earphones. The ComfoBuds Mini offer a lot for poco, especially in relation to the competition. They have an IPX5 certification, 4 ANC modes including transparency, offer up to 24 hours of battery life and also have fast and wireless charging, but above all an excellent quality in calls and music playback.
