Apparently Xiaomi would intend to present a product (clearly a smartphone) with a MediaTek custom processor. We know about him poco again, but let's go see the details.

According to the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station a few hours ago, a Chinese company would be about to present a very powerful mobile device. THE Chinese media they have done nothing but endorse the hypothesis that the company is Xiaomi. In fact, in the comments we find under the leaker's post, Lei Jun's company is named. But what is this capable of MediaTek MT6895? What are the benefits? And we can really compare it to Snapdragon 888? It seems so.

The code names of the latest processors of the Taiwanese company suggest a Very powerful SoC. In fact, the data provided by the Chinese leaker only confirm this thing. But let's go in order: MT6891 corresponds to Dimensity 1100; MT6893 corresponds to Dimensity 1200; MT6895 it will correspond to a much more powerful SoC than the latter. We know this since Digital Chat Station has blasted that the chip will come to a maximum clock of 3.2GHz. Recall that the Snapdragon 888 barely touches 3.0GHz. It could therefore be a direct competitor of Snapdragon 888 +, still unreleased processor that will be released in the coming months.
It is still early to say which smartphone will be launched with this processor and which will be the others technical. It is not possible in the same way to say whether it will be a Xiaomi or a Redmi. But one thing is certain: MediaTek is catching up with Qualcomm and maybe one day it will surpass it.
