Amazfit prepares new smartwatches: ECG and blood pressure arrive

Amazfit offers the best wearable devices (including smartwatch and smartband) in circulation. Even if some are not without problems, such as the GTS which throws a tantrum due to the GPS signal, we cannot say that in general the devices of Huami are not complete. There are all budgets and for all tastes and in the future the matter will get even more interesting. As revealed by the company itself a Wearable, the plans for the next devices will be really interesting. Smartwatches with ECG and blood pressure measurement await us. Let's go see the details.

Amazfit is thinking big and aims to unseat Apple: Apple's smartwatches will have fierce competitors

A few weeks ago we learned that Huami, company that produces Amazfit smartwatches, changed its name. From poco time to this part is called ZEPP Health, but it's only the name that changes. The research and development departments are the same and the quality will remain the same. Even the line of smartwatches, according to what was communicated by the company, will remain the same. However in the future there will be changes in terms of features. In particular, we will see more and more complete new devices, with ECG e blood pressure measurement.

Previously Huami invested in the miniaturization of MRI (MRI) and will continue to upgrade its devices in the future. Mike Yeung, COO of the company, told the well-known site:

We are currently engaging with the US FDA and in areas such as ECG and blood pressure monitoring. While we are achieving FDA certification of our algorithm, we are already partnering with AliveCor here in the United States

Zepp Health at Wearable

Alive Cor is a company that makes ECGs and was the first company to get one for the FDA approved Apple Watch. From the COO's words we understand that already a year and a half before Apple Watch, Huami got permission from the FDA in order to integrate technology into devices. However, there has never been a trace of any branded smartwatch or smartband.

Yeung confirmed a Wareable that the company is working on blood pressure monitoring and even glucose monitoring but he did not miss when and on which smartwatch / smartband the features will be released. But the ECG and blood pressure aren't the only news.

Apparently the company is investing heavily inAI learning. Specifically, Zepp helped Amazfit indeep learning of AI by collecting huge amounts of data and feeding it into a deep learning engine. This helps optimize and improve those algorithms faster than competitors.
