Yesterday there was a lot of talk about RAM, taking into consideration the upcoming top of the range Xiaomi Mi 10. As said, this will be the first in the world to use LPDDR5 memory, in particular that of Micron. After a few hours it is the same Lei Jun, in the name of the company, to say that together with the latter the device will also mount the one built by Samsung. The smartphones for which this RAM is intended are not only the top of the range, however: in fact, the medium-high smartphones sector is also intended to use this hardware. Redmi, or rather Lu Weibing for her, confirmed that her too next flagship will adopt an LPDDR5 RAM.
Redmi will be among the first to adopt an LPDDR5 RAM, perhaps on Redmi K30
After receiving the wonderful news of winning theiF DESIGN AWARD 2020 with the Redmi K20 Pro, the rib brand of Xiaomi has decided to announce that even its next top of the range, possibly Redmi K30 Pro, will adopt a type of memory L. Lu Weibing communicates this through a post-reply to Lei Jun on Weibo.
But first he said, as might have been expected, that this type of memory will be the standard of all the 2020 flagships. We agree: also Realme has announced the same thing and it won't be long before other brands do it too.
Speaking of Redmi K30 Pro, there are several leaks that have arrived so far: we know it could have one huge battery supported by a very powerful charging technology, we know that the main sensor will probably be a Sony IMX686 to 64 megapixel and we also know, thanks to Geekbench, that the processor that we will find under the body will be the new and powerful one Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. Having said that it would not surprise us if this device really fitted such a memory: after all it will have to be the next top of the range by Redmi, and how not to make it such if not with a RAM LPDDR5?
In terms of specifications, this new memory has some very interesting features. First of all we could enjoy one transmission speed ranging from 5.5 to 6.4 Gbps however guaranteeing a smartphone minimal use of energy, with consequent saving of the battery: all this translates, according to Micron data, into a 20% less use of the battery, with a estimated increase of 5% - 10% in duration of the same. Secondly the performance of this RAM will allow you to use holographic games, augmented reality applications thanks to 5G and to open more than 300 applications without feeling the slightest effort.
Redmi did not say what the supplier company will be, but it probably will be Micron o Samsung.
