The official forum has already made available the download of the China BETA versions of the MIUI 9 for the terminals which release was scheduled for in the second tranche of the 25 August.
Roma are in format Fastboot, then flash through MiFlash and a suitable one backup of your data. Because of the China version, the Italian language and google services are not included, but they can be installed separately.
BETA versions are considered unsuitable for daily use and may contain unexplained or unforeseen bugs that are abnormal. Use it consciously!
