Here are all the differences between Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro

Yesterday we attended the presentation of the most anticipated smartphone of the year, even if it has just started. Xiaomi Mi 10 despite the difficulties due to the coronavirus, he was presented together with his older brother Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. A series of others have also been announced with them products they can or can't do winning combination together with smartphones. But basically, what changes between the two devices? What are the substantial differences between Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro? Some will only say the price but it is not so in reality, let's see them all together.

How many are the differences between Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro? More than you imagine

Design

More than the design itself, given that the measurements and weight do not change from the standard model to the Pro, a vary is the choice of colors. As we see in the photographs distributed by the brand through Weibo and also during the official presentation, the version Pro can only count on two colors, namely pearl white and midnight blue, While the standard version has three completely different colors, namely peach pink, navy blue and ash color.

Display

Both devices are equipped with a front panel from 6.67" with type glass Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The difference therefore lies not in the measures, but in how they behave. We explain ourselves better: Xiaomi Mi 10 adds support HDR10 + and TÜV Rheinland certification which ensures a point-regulated blue light level to reduce eye damage. The version Proon the other hand, it has more vivid and bright colors, we will dare to say "real", thanks to the values JNCD <0,55 and Delta E <1,11.

Cameras

The aspect that is most interesting is that of the rear photographic sector.

  • Xiaomi Mi 10 can count on a 108 megapixel main camera with 7P lenses while the Pro with 8P lenses;
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 has a 13 megapixel wide angle sensor without OIS while the 20 megapixel Pro with OIS;
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 is the only one of the two to have a macro lens;
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with two telephoto lenses, one short and one long, respectively 12 and 8 megapixels;
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is equipped with a laser sensor for focusing (in the traffic light it is the one between the last and the penultimate camera);
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is the only one to support a 10x hybrid zoom and a 50x digital zoom.

Video

Clearly the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is also better as regards video recording. In particular the Pro not only manages to record at 1080 pixels at 120 fps, but also at 240 and 960 fps while the version standard allows you to shoot videos only at 30 fps, reaches 60 only for 4K resolution and 1080 pixels.

Audio

We have seen how the Pro version has conquered the first place on DxOMark not only in the photography sector but also in the audio sector. The reason is that, unlike the Mi 10, it can count a greater sound cavity for each speaker, in particular 1.2 cc compared to 1.0 cc of the Xiaomi Mi 10. This difference is substantial for the same number of speakers, two, with intelligent PA modulation.

Battery

Although it may seem strange to many, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro battery is smaller than the one mounted on the standard version, although the difference is minimal. in Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro we have a 4.500mAh with 50W wired, 30W wireless and 10W reverse charging support; in Xiaomi Mi 10 we have a 4780 mAh with support for 30W wired, 30W wireless and 10 reverse charging.

Price

Surely this is the aspect that will matter most of all, given the critical which were made before its presentation. Based on the configurations, different between Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, we have differences. Caution: the prices in € are not the official ones but they are only equivalent to the current exchange rate. The official ones differ from those you read here.

Hi, I understand that the TOF sensor is available in the MI10 version but NOT in the MI10 PRO version. It seems like a strange choice to me. Will the photo quality of the MI10 PRO not be affected?

Hi, I thought I understood that the macro was on the pro, here you say the opposite, because the pro has a smaller battery?
Will it affect the duration?
I am undecided between the two, on paper the pro seems better, I hope soon in a video test between the two.

Hi Gianluca.
I imagined it was for the space given the different hardware, too bad for the macro, I like to photograph flowers and details .. Grazie a tutti.
Before or forgot to ask yourself another question, but the display is hdr10 + only on the “normal” 10?
