The Google Pixel 8 will be launched this year. It is expected to consist of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, with the devices hitting the market in October. Unlike last year, Google didn't show any flagships during the I/O 2023 event. However, several leaks in recent months they revealed some details, such as its design. Now, a listing in the database of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) revealed il support for wireless charging.

The Google Pixel 8 will be one of the flagship smartphones launched by the company in the fourth quarter. It has the code GKWS6 and support for 12W wireless charging, which you can find on Pixel 7. Also, it is listed with Qi 1.2.4 standard, does not support Qi2 wireless charging which was recently announced and allows you to use wireless charging with devices such as Apple's MagSafe. However, the image used in the certification is not the definitive one of the final Pixel 8 design. In fact, it depicts a Pixel 6.

The Pixel 8's display is a OLED display from 6,2 inch, slightly smaller than the Pixel 6,3's 7-inch display. In design, it will keep the edges flat and feature a punch-hole camera centered at the top. In the corners, the Pixel 8 it will be more rounded, which will help it differentiate itself from the Pixel 7. At the rear, the camera module will be placed in a horizontal strip with the edges placed in a pill-shaped block.
