Redmi's cheapest smartphone updates to Android 13 Go and MIUI 14: Redmi A2 is now a best seller

In an increasingly demanding market in terms of performance, it is strange that mobile phone brands launch new low-end smartphones. Among these we find Redmi A2, presented in March with excellent results in terms of sales, especially in markets defined as "poor". Those who purchase these products do not expect who knows what software support, yet the company, after taking the necessary time, surprised everyone by releasing a firmware update, with interesting new features.

First of all, let's talk about a stable update already officially available in Europe, which updates Redmi A2 to the Android 13 version but the generation leap also affects MIUI which reaches version 14. A decidedly important update for this device, as it is very we will probably no longer have any further surprises, stopping the green robot's firmware at the thirteenth generation, let alone if Redmi A2 will ever see HyperOS, but in case you can find out here.

REDMI A2 IS UPDATED: WHAT'S NEW?

Certainly the most important new features are those already mentioned, namely Android 13 Go and MIUI 14 with all the necessary customizations, for better management and use of the smartphone as well as greater fluidity of the system. Above all the focus goes to the optimized use of storage space (very important on this device), improvements in privacy, better management of notifications and much more. Of course, there are also several bug fixes and updated security patches.

The update arrives via the V14.0.11.0.TGOEUXM firmware, which weighs just 265 MB and is already distributed as OTA throughout Europe. So how do you proceed to update your Redmi A2 and keep it up to date? You have two options:

  • Automatic update : Go to Settings menu > About phone > MIUI version to check if OTA is already available. If it is, just press “Download and Install”.
  • Manual update : Download the update package and send it to the memory of your Redmi A2. Again from the Settings > Phone Information > MIUI Version menu, click on the three dots at the top right and from the cascade menu that opens choose the Choose Update package item, so that you can proceed with the update. You can download the firmware by pressing the button below.
