It is said that the befana comes at night ... and at Christmas Xiaomi stays his toy robot. Two unique opportunities to give it to your children.
Xiaomi is not only famous for its high-quality smartphones but also for all of them gadgets ed accessories for home for sale at their own store. But since Christmas is approaching, the company is thinking well of marketing a toy robot plastic that can be assembled in different shapes and controlled with a ' application via smartphone.
The new toy robot bears the name of Mi Toy Block, and the assembly looks very similar to that already seen in the various models released by the much more famous Lego. Are expected various kit in which there will be assemblage components different from each other as wheels, gears and chains, to make your robot unique.
But the Mi Toy Block will not be just a toy, in fact Xiaomi says the robot will be powered by a chip ARM Cortex M3, and will be built with the various smartphone sensors, such as one gyroscope to keep the robot stable. The structure, albeit in plastic, will be very robust, in fact it can support up to 3 Kg of weight in movement.
The Mi Toy Block will be accompanied by an application that will allow you to set up a sequence of moves for the robot.
Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, announced the toy last Friday on his social account Weibo adding that the Mi Toy Block will be on sale to 499 yuan ($ 73), available online on the day 11th November, a day when China celebrates the Singles Day.
Someone commented that the price is too high, while others stressed the similarity of the Mi Toy Block to those of Lego, but compared to other modular toys already on the market, the Xiaomi robot has a fairly competitive price. Fischer Price for example sells its Code-a-Pillar, priced at $ 49,99 for a considerably simpler hardware setup. Instead, the Wonder Workshops Dash Robot starts at prices around $ 149,99.
Christmas is almost upon us and perhaps a little thought should be done on the purchase of the Mi Toy Block.

Really interesting, I love these "toys" and when I can I buy them!
But I expect the winning shot in the robot field from Xiaomi: the well-functioning heir of the WoWee Rovio!
They can do it 🙂
Hi RobyMax1 surely the Xiaomi company will pull an ace out of their sleeve. Xiaomi has always shown that it can do and do well. Lately they have beaten all the competition with the Mi MIx from which the biggest competitors will copy the design, see the rumors on the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8.
I look forward to winning the hit.
