[Mi4c, Note Pro and Redmi notes 3]: Upgrade to the bootloader unlock request procedure

Good day Miuiers, in the evening, Xiaomi decided to give us a gift "simplifying" the procedure for unlocking the bootloader. We will explain you step by step how to make the request and unlock the bootloader of your phone.

  1. Authorization request:

the new site for the release request is http://en.miui.com/unlock/ , follow the instructions that will ask you to put some data and then you will have to wait from 10 to 15 days to receive authorization to unlock.

NB: If you did not receive any sign of life after 20 days write , promising your no. Xiaomi account, their technicians will see why the procedure is blocked.

Once you have the unlock procedure you are ready for the second step.

2. MIUI Developer installation:

  • A valid procedure for those who start from a Chinese Roma:
  • Warning! you will lose any data on your phone backup from the phone settings and save it on your pc.
  • The developer rom, download it , promising, download directly from your mobile phone and place it in the downloaded-rom folder of your phone.
  • Then go to the Updater App (you will find it in the Homescreen> Tools (folder)> Update)
  • Press the 3 dots at the top right> select install from .zip and select the file downloaded first.
  • You will start installing the ROM at restart, you will need to re-enter all of your data.

  • Flash it with sptools leaving behind the program the trouble-free program for driving Wed.

 3. Verify ADB driver installation

  • Before continuing, make sure you have installed ADB drivers for your terminal. To test it, connect your phone to your PC via usb and go to Device Manager or Device Manager (depending on the installed Windows version) if you see a generic Android device or yellow question mark means that drivers have not been properly installed.
In that case, you can easily install them by downloading and installing this package:driver adb or drivers official adb.
  • You can check the installation of ADB drivers by using the adb devices command from a windows (dos) command window if your device (connected via USB) is listed, drivers are ok, otherwise you will need to install them.

4. Association with Mi account

  • Make sure that your terminal is associated with your Mi Account by accessing the page me account.

5. Bootloader Unlock Tool:

Yesterday is finally released an unlocking tool all in English download, download it and launch it.

  • log in with your data:
  • Turn off your device, press the Power button and volume - on your terminal to boot into bootloader mode.
  • Connect your phone to your PC using the usb cable.
  • Press 'Unlock'. The unlock process will be terminated in about 10 seconds.
  • If you come across it error at 50% "Can not verify device" solution is: Log in to my account with the phone and pc, once logged in, enable the device search both on the phone and on the PC. This solves the problem.

Then we'll explain how to install the recovery in the 3 devices under the bootloader block so you can flash any rom you want.

6. Root:

  • Turn on the device.
  • Go to Security> Permissions> Root access, and flag "I understand the risks of root access" and click Root Access. The application will automatically download "miui-ota-hennessy-5.12.24-5.12.24.root-5668142ffa-5.0" and will update automatically as per images:[IMG]

7. Flash Rom via recovery twrp: (Short all terminals)

  • 3 Notebook Reduction Installation: files needed:recovery
-Start the phone in fastboot mode (power + volume less than off) and connect the phone to the PC via USB cable
-Download the TWRP recovery and put the file in the unlock tool folder. -Start a command window in the unlock tool folder where the TWRP and the fasboot.exe file are present
-Type: "fastboot flash recovery TWRP_redminote3_patchedBySebsch1991.img"
-Wait for the process to finish

-After the system is started you can restart in the Recovery mode (power + volume on by off)
-Have you finished!!! compliments

8. Install a Rom at your leisure (recommend xiaomi.eu):

  • Download the rom and put it on the main folder of the phone
  • start the phone in recovery by pressing vol + and power
  • Go on wipe and do the dalvik and cache wipe
  • go to install and select the rom package that is a zip file

The process is long and tedious but it must be done once and the phone will remain unlocked.
