The smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is getting ever closer to the launch of its next flagship, the OnePlus 12. Previously, the company confirmed that the phone will come with the latest one Sony Lytia lens as main camera, today OnePlus revealed further details about the phone's camera system, confirming that it will also have one 64 megapixel periscope zoom camera.

The periscope zoom camera will presumably use a OmniVision OV64B sensor and will offer up to 3x optical zoom. OnePlus also shared some sample photos taken with the OnePlus 12's periscope zoom camera. The photos show that the camera can capture a lot of details, even in low-light conditions.
Also, as mentioned above, the smartphone is expected to come with a 53 megapixel main camera LYT-T808.
The Lytia sensor uses a stacked CMOS design with two layers of transistors and photodiodes. This allows for physically larger photodiodes, which can capture more light and produce sharper, more detailed images.
OnePlus is the second sub-brand under the BBK Electronics umbrella to benefit from the group's partnership with mobile image sensor brand Sony Lytia. The company had previously used a Sony Lytia 808 sensor on the main camera of the OnePlus Open.
Other BBK Electronics brands, such as Oppo and Vivo, have also announced partnerships with Sony Lytia. This means we can expect to see the same stacked dual-layer sensors used in the main cameras of the upcoming Oppo Find X7 and Vivo X100 smartphones.
Together with the 53 megapixel LYT-T808 sensor and the OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom, the smartphone will also have a camera 48 megapixel ultra-wide angle IMX581.
As for other specifications, the OnePlus 12 is expected with a 1K BOE X2 OLED display with curved edges, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
as far as nutrition is concerned, the battery should be 5.400 mAh and the smartphone will support a power of 100W charging. Other leaked specs include a 32 megapixel front camera and ColorOS 14 based on Android 14, at least for the Chinese market.
