We are used to seeing science fiction patents from Oppo, like the last one that immortalized a device with extendable screen. We got to see what this device will look like presented tomorrow on the occasion of the Hymn Day 2020. This is an important occasion in which the brand has the opportunity to show the world the results of its research and development. Latest news is the existence of another patent that features a Reno variant with a pop-up rear camera. This is not the usual pop-up though: this is it roundabout and comes out from the back of the smartphone. Beyond that it would be equipped with one 15X hybrid zoom. Let's see the details.

In April this year, Oppo filed a patent with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) which, however, was published on 12 November. The team of LetsGoDigital, to which we owe the color rendering, assumes that it is one Reno series smartphone. On closer inspection, he might be right: in fact, the Reno series is the one that has brought the concept of pop-up camera to the highest levels thanks to the Reno 2 with shark fin. The patent showing the company's device, however, once again revolutionizes the mobile camera and transforms it into a circular sensor. The mechanism that allows the optics to come out is placed at the rear and not in the center of the body as we expect.
The Oppo device comes with a full display without contamination of holes or notches. The front camera is housed in a mechanism pop-up that literally rotates inside a "crescent". A sort of tilting mechanism that allows the pop-up sensor to exit from the back of the device. Also on the back would be equipped one triple rear camera.
Thanks to the Dutch 3D designer Jermaine Smit, gods were created 3D renders that show what the brand's real smartphone should be. Here are the photos. He decided to design the rear photographic sector in a similar way to that of Meizu 17 and 17 Pro: housed in a projecting horizontal traffic light.
The patent documentation mentions theintegration of a simple camera, a wide angle and an ultra wide angle camera. Then there is also a more in-depth look at the optical zoom camera, which should have one 15X hybrid zoom function. There are currently no devices on the market with a zoom capability of this magnitude. Without doubt this smartphone will be presented in the not very near future. We await confirmation from the brand.
