Realme, the well-known Chinese smartphone brand, has officially announced the launch date of its new mid-range model, the Realme 12+ 5G. The device will be presented in Malaysia on February 29, and will join those already available Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, completing series 12.
Realme 12+ 5G officially anticipated, presentation date revealed
The Realme 12+ 5G has already been the subject of numerous rumors, which have revealed its main technical features and design. The tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore shared the images and specifications of the phone on Twitter, confirming the information that emerged from the TENAA certification.
The Realme 12+ 5G presents itself with an elegant and modern appearance, with a vegan leather body available in two colors, beige and green. The back houses a large circular photography module, which contains three cameras and an LED flash. The main sensor is a 600 MP Sony LYT-50, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), supported by a 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera, however, is 16 MP and is located in a central hole on the display.
The display is a AMOLED panel from 6,67 inches, with Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and 120 Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint reader is integrated under the screen, which has thin bezels and rounded corners. The chassis is flat and has a USB Type-C port, a speaker and a 3,5mm audio jack.
Under the hood, the Realme 12+ 5G hides a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, a 6nm octa-core chip with 5G support, which can be combined with different memory configurations: 6, 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 128, 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage. The battery is 5.000 mAh and supports 67 W fast charging. The operating system is Android 14, customized with the Realme UI 5.0 interface.
The dimensions of the 12+ 5G are 163 x 75,5 x 7,9 mm, for a weight of 190 grams. The price and availability of the phone have not yet been announced, but the China launch is assumed to be imminent. It is not yet known if and when the Realme 12+ 5G will also arrive in Italy and other markets.
