Realme GT3 announced at MWC2023: it is the world's first smartphone with 240W charging

so let's start with the specifications of the 240W fast charge. This is the maximum charging power currently supported by the USB Type-C interface. So until a new generation of the interface is released, this is the ceiling of fast charging for mobile phones.

In any case, the brand has shown that it only takes 80 seconds to charge the 4600mAh battery from 1% to 20%. Also according to the brand, 30 seconds of charging can be used for 2 hours of calls, 1 hour of online video or 3 hours of music playback. While for a complete recharge only 9 minutes and 30 seconds are needed.

To achieve a power of 240W, Realme has brought several innovations.

For example this is the first 240W charging architecture which adopts three-way parallel 100W charge pump design to achieve balanced heat dissipation of the whole device and finally achieve the best performance regarding temperature and rate. charge conversion can reach up to 98,5%.

Second, the custom-made 12A charging cable is released for the first time. The industry-highest specification 21AWGx4 thickened copper wire is added with a dual platinum electrophoresis USB Type-C port design. layer, which reduces the contact resistance of the wire and the interface, and resists erosion by dust or hand sweat.

Finally, Realme launched the 240W GaN dual mini charger, which achieved the highest power density of 2,34W/DC in the industry. Compared with the previous generation 150W charging socket, the volume increased by 5%, but the power increased by 60%.

The smartphone is also equipped with a 6,74-inch screen on the front and is the first flat screen with 1,5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The panel uses Tianma's new generation of T7+ flagship luminescent material, with a local peak brightness of 1400 nits, 7 levels of intelligent refresh rate adjustment, and 4 levels of application refresh rate customization.

In addition, the smartphone also supports the industry's highest standard 2160Hz PWM ultra-high frequency DC dimming, which makes the screen less harmful to eyes especially in low light environment.

In terms of performance, the Realme GT3 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, together with a flagship dual-core super-Frame Plus independent display chip, and adopts the core dual-phase phase change cooling system. “Ice Max”. It is the Realme smartphone with the strongest heat dissipation so far, allowing the chip to go to the limit of its performance.

At the same time, a memory engine is also released that provides instant bandwidth, intelligent prefetching, asynchronous memory management, and continuous app breakpoint reading technology.

Finally, as regards the photographic sector, the Realme GT3 adopts a new generation of Sony IMX 890 main camera with 50 megapixel resolution, 2,0 μm large pixels and a sensor size of 1/1,56 inches. The photosensitive area and super-wide aperture of f/1,88, combined with OIS optical image stabilization, can produce very high-quality photos, at least on paper.

The Realme GT3 will be available in the US with a starting price of $649 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. As for the colors, there will be two: namely Pulse White and Booster Black. At the moment the brand has not communicated if and when the device will arrive in our country.
