Review Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is definitely a smartphone to recommend to all those who are looking for good (if not excellent) performance at a very low price and with an eye also to the materials used and the particular design. With this smartphone Xiaomi has completely rewritten the meaning of the word "cheap phone", Offering a device that has much to offer both on paper and everyday use. This, however, did not distract the company from designing a better version of this device, making some changes and implementing a new component to bring about Xiaomi Redmire 3 Pro | Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro officially presented |. We have already made some comparisons with other devices of the Xiaomi family and other manufacturers but today we will examine it more carefully and we will draw final considerations.

The sales package is identical both to aesthetically and contentally than the normal version, so we find the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro, a USB data cable, a wall charger and some handwheel guides to remove the SIM carriage (SIM / micro-SD).

On an aesthetic level it has received a slight restyling, abandoning the particular rhomboid texture in the back and moving to a cleaner and texture-free style, taken from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 / Pro. Furthermore, always in the back, it is possible to notice the first (and main) novelty of this smartphone, that is the presence of a sensor for fingerprint recognition which is very precise, while everything else remains unchanged compared to the classic version. However, the Pro version seems to be built with greater care and with better quality materials.

Another innovation is below the body, as the Pro version has been equipped with a further GigaByte of RAM memory, now coming to 3 GB, and the amount of internal memory has been doubled, passing from 16 GB to 32 GB. For the rest, nothing has changed compared to the Redmi 3. However, these small hardware upgrades are not so important, as the benchmarks are practically almost similar but also in practical use and in gaming, being able to play Asphalt 8 perfectly in medium definition, while in high definition some frame drops may be noted.

Outbound audio is really very good as well as being very high, especially if you consider that we are talking about a mid-low bandwidth smartphone. The same is true for the headset cap, which is of high quality, reproducing the sound of the call very well.

The photographic sector, even if it uses the same sensor, seems to have been improved, a sign that the software has been improved and optimized for this purpose. Now you can get more real and accurate photos with higher precision autofocus (PDAF), managing to capture sharp and detailed photos with almost every shot. The situation worsens in low-light or dark photos, with a substantial increase in image noise and focusing more difficult. Here are some non-retouched shots taken respectively with good ambient lighting (outdoors), low light (indoors) and low light (at night).

As for generic connectivity, everything is working perfectly, with excellent reception (can vary depending on the area and the operator) both telephone and all other connections, even if we would expect the Wi-Fi band from 5 GHz on this variant.

On the autonomy, there is not much to say, since i 4100 mAh are so many and it's virtually impossible to fully discharge the battery over the course of the day, even if stressed! You can even reach them 7 hours the screen is lit up with manually set maximum lighting and using mobile data, navigating, playing and chatting, switching off only on the second day of use. Of course, with a more bland use you can cover up to two days of use, if not three.

In conclusion, this Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro does not bring with a real significant upgrade, however the better build quality and greater security given fingerprint sensor, together with better optimization at the software level, certainly are strengths on which he can rely on. However, we would have expected at least to have the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band and, why not, also a full-HD resolution display (1920 x 1080 pixels) but at such a low price and with all it has to offer, we couldn't ask for better. So, in our opinion, it is a smartphone to be absolutely recommended, especially for its great autonomy enclosed in such a compact device.
