After what seemed to be one of the longest waitings, the new Redmi K30 Pro was finally presented together with the slightly more premium version, the K30 Pro Zoom. The two smartphones offer, as per Redmi tradition, the best hardware in circulation at the lowest price on the market; let's find out more!
Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom are official: Specifications and prices
We start as always from the display, which sees an upgrade compared to that of the basic version presented in December last year. The IPS display has in fact been replaced by a 6.67-inch diagonal AMOLED produced by Samsung and with a feature for automatic 360-degree brightness adjustment. The display also seems the same that we find on the Xiaomi flagship, the Mi 10, in particular we have a general brightness of 800 nit with a peak of 1200 nit. We have a high contrast at 5000000: 1, support for HDR10 + content and TÜV Rheinland certification to lighten the load on the eyes.
Passing on the back, here we find a total of four cameras inside an "Oreo" module. As for the basic K30 Pro, these include a 64MP main camera, Sony IMX686 sensor with OIS (optical stabilization), focal aperture of f / 1.79 and 1.6um pixels; then we have a 5MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom, a depth of field sensor; finally there is a 13MP ultra wide angle camera with a 123 degree field of view. For selfies, we find instead a 20MP front camera hidden inside a pop-up mechanism with side LED lights that can change color according to your tastes.
The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom differs in the presence of a telephoto camera with a 30x zoom, accompanied by a four-axis optical stabilization. We also remember that both smartphones can shoot videos in 8K resolution.
Let's go now to see the internal hardware, which as we already know will be a true top of the range without compromise. The K30 Pro series arrives with the modern and performing Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which brings a 20% increase in performance compared to the previous generation. The processor is then supported by up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, to transmit data at a speed of 44GB per second, and internal UFS 3.1 memory for a maximum write power of up to 44GB per second. We also specify that the version of the K30 Pro with 6GB of RAM uses LPDDR4x type RAM therefore slightly less performing than the LPDDR5.
The smartphone also supports dual mode 5G technology, so for both NSA and SA networks, it has a 360 degree surround antenna to improve signal capture and supports the WiFi protocol to connect at full speed even indoors.
As for autonomy, the K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom both adopt a battery with a capacity of 4700mAh. While for rapid charging we reach a maximum power of 33W which allows you to recharge the device from 0 to 100% in just 63 minutes.
Other specifications on the Redmi K30 Pro series include Bluetooth to version 5.1, dual-frequency GPS with the addition of a barometer for more precise navigation, multifunctional NFC, 3.5mm audio jack and infrared ray emitter to control all those non-smart products around the house (TV, air conditioning etc ..).
Finally, for prices, we have the Redmi K30 Pro with a starting price of 2999 Yuan (€ 391) for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, 3399 Yuan (€ 443) for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and 3699 Yuan ( € 482) for 8GB + 256GB. The Redmi K30 Pro Zoom instead has a starting price of 3799 Yuan (€ 495) with 8GB + 128GB and 3999 Yuan (€ 521) for 8GB + 256GB.
