Although thanks to Huami, Xiaomi he has seen his fame grow with wearables, that is, all smartwatches like Amazfit, We Band and similar, he decided for the first time to independently re-join and develop a device of his own. From the information we have, which are few seen the only one yesterday's announcement, the wearable device would look very aesthetically similar to the Apple Watch. But we Xiaomists know that after all it is not so and to compare the two devices is really impossible and useless. Today, however, we have additional information: the design and functionality of the Mi Watche will be amazed by the fact that the first one it is not at all the same as that shown yesterday. As for the features instead ... well, there are several and all SUPER useful.
Unveiled design and full functionality of Xiaomi's Mi Watch
As we see in the cover image, or the one below, on an aesthetic level the shell in matt black results Eaves in height but not in the edges. The It results to be slightly convex and the wheel at the top right very similar to that of the Apple Watch: in reality, the similarity from an aesthetic point of view is, as the Americans would say, "uncanny" and this could not poco annoyance to users who are looking for a product that is a little different also from a visual point of view. Globally the design is very minimal.
What is more interesting than the aesthetics, however, to users is all that functionality that will be made available: ECG? NFC? GPS? Let's see together what we can do with this We Watch looking at the shared image on Weibo from Lei Jun and all the various branches of Xiaomi.
Let's start with the advertising slogan: "The real smartwatch is a small cell phone on the wrist". This phrase already speaks volumes about the internal characteristics and peculiarities of the smartwatch in question. In the upper part instead, always starting from the right, we find the much coveted NFC for data transfer but above all for ultra fast payments: we expect this sensor to be of the latest generation, already described by Xiaomi aboard his latest smartphones and that allows you to shorten the transaction times of a good 30%. The highlight of this device will then be the processor: it is a SoC built by Qualcomm (we see the writing and its small coat) ad high efficiency but of which we ignore the serial number. It could be, as we hypothesized some time ago, the Snapdragon 2500 Wear chipset of middle band released last year neither too much energy nor expensive. The penultimate feature we find is the GPS, also highly efficient which will allow you not to get lost without having a bulky smartphone in your hands.
