Official TicWatch Pro 5: the first with Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 and Wear OS 3

Mobvoi, a leading player in the smartwatch industry, has recently revealed his latest offering, the TicWatch Pro 5. This innovative smartwatch is the first of its kind to work with WearOS 3, Google's latest operating system for wearable devices. Here more details on the smartwatch OS. The smartwatch is powered by the processor Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, promising a smooth user experience.

Features TicWatch Pro 5

After a series of teasers and almost a year of waiting, Mobvoi has finally announced the launch of the TicWatch Pro 5. This smartwatch is the first wearable device powered by Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1, a chipset Qualcomm announced last year to kick off the next generation of Wear OS watches. Thanks to the new chipset, built on a more efficient 5nm process, Mobvoi promises twice the performance and better battery life for the TicWatch Pro 5. These promises are supported by the 2 GB of RAM and the large battery from 628 mAh.

The TicWatch Pro 5 offers a new design, which uses a new rotating tactile crown used to navigate menus in Wear OS 3, open apps, adjust volume, and more without touching the 1,43 inch OLED display. It's not too different from the rotating crown that Fossil smartwatches are usually equipped with. However, the TicWatch Pro 5 has only one external button in addition to the crown, similar to the Pixel Watch.

With Wear OS 3, you will have access to many of the latest apps and features available on the platform. Mobvoi also focuses on the best health and fitness features of the watch, which benefit from the new chipset and improved sensors. This includes the continuous heart rate monitoring for more accurate health data, an improved sleep tracking with customizable SpO2 monitoring and temperature sensing, over 100 training modes and more.

Mobvoi also promotes its one-tap measurement, allowing users to acquire five different health metrics in 90 seconds, including heart rate, blood oxygen, breathing rate, stress level, and heart health assessment. Health metrics are also easily viewable using the technology dual layer view of the company, which places an ultra-low-power panel on top of the OLED. This allows users to view a series of tiles for quick access to notifications and health metrics, even in Essential mode.

For lovers of the great outdoors, the watch has compass, barometer and Multi-GNSS to help navigate. The TicWatch Pro 5 is built with a case in aluminum 7000 series, a metal frame and Gorilla Glass to protect the display. It also satisfies it MIL-STD-810H standards for durability and features a water resistance of 5 ATM. Mobvoi promises up to 80 hours of use on a single charge, which isn't something many Wear OS watches can lay claim to. And with support for fast charging, a 30-minute charge will provide users with up to 65% battery life.
