Tineco Floor One S7 Steam, all the power of STEAM without the hassle of the cable – REVIEW
I tried the new one Tineco Floor One S7 Steam which enriches the 7 series model park. A one-of-a-kind floor cleaner since, unlike the previous model, despite being battery operated, it is able to generate steam and obtain a very high level of sanitization without giving up the advantages of practicality. Design Tineco Floor One S7 Steam
Tineco Floor One S7 Steam it is aesthetically similar to the entire S7 series, with a modern and sober design, white with black finishes, made with high quality plastics and a weight of 5 kg. The charging base instead measures 31 x 30 cm, including the supports for housing the accessories.
The equipment in the package is as always rich and consists of:

I tanks, both of poco larger than in the previous model, they are positioned vertically so as to optimize capacity without ruining its aesthetics: the dirty water one is frontal and has a capacity of 0,72 liters; the one for clean water is positioned at the back and has a capacity of 0,8 liters.
When the dirty water tank is full, the appliance switches off and the voice assistant prompts you to empty it. Similarly, when the clean water tank needs to be refilled, the voice assistant prompts you to do so, but it doesn't automatically turn off.
On the upper part of the main body of the vacuum cleaner, there is a new large display 3.2″ which does not show animations like its sister Tineco Floor One S7 Pro but it is anyway very bright, great quality and shows all the necessary information: the remaining battery, the mode in use, as well as alerts that come on in case of problems such as when the dirty water tank needs to be emptied or when the self-cleaning program needs to be run. We find thelight ring around the screen that changes color according to the level of dirt detected from the iLoop sensor: red when the robot detects a high level of dirt and blue when the floor is clean.
The handle is very ergonomic and comfortable for controlling the floor cleaner. It houses the three control buttons which are well placed.
The main brush is the real big difference compared to other floor cleaners because it houses everything needed for cleaning steam generation even if aesthetically it doesn't differ much. THEthe roller it is larger (26 cm compared to 25 on the S7 pro) almost completely flush with the edges so as to also reach the walls. The magnetic release is also new and now has a lever to facilitate the operation without contaminating the hands.
Do not miss it front LED light which allows us to see the surface we are cleaning to ensure we don't miss anything.
How does it clean Tineco Floor One S7 Steam?
La S7 Steam it is a real revolution in the sector because it is probably the only battery-powered floor cleaner that use steam up to 140°C to wash floors. We have four operating modes available:
- Cars
- Diffused steam
- Concentrated steam (Boost)
- Suction of liquids / Drying (can only be activated from the app)
In AUTO mode, the iLoop sensor recognizes the amount of dirt automatically going to adjust the power and the water flow according to the needs. The sensor works very well and reacts very quickly to the variations in dirt it encounters. In addition the display shows a ring that progressively changes from blue to red to signal the increased cleaning intensity.
The roller rotates 450 times per minute to perform a friction capable of removing any stain. The clean water is sent to the roller which rubs the floor and removes most stains on the first pass. At the same time, the resulting dirt is sucked up and deposited in the front tank.
La AUTO mode it is really very efficient and guarantees greater autonomy both for the battery (about 40 minutes) and for the water. In general it is the mode I use most often even without detergent.
La STEAM mode, as you can imagine from the name, is the one that activates the emission of steam and will require 40 seconds to be ready first time. It is completely similar to the automatic mode but with the addition of frontal steam emission from 6 nozzles.
In the mode CONCENTRATED STEAM instead the steam will be emitted from only the two central nozzles, maximizing the effect of the steam on a smaller surface.
Finally, the SUCTION mode which interrupts the emission of water and steam to vacuum even large quantities of liquids or to dry the floor. This is a useful but rarely used function also because it can only be activated via the application, a rather inconvenient choice that I honestly don't understand.
Automatic cleaning of the roller
Once back on the charging base, the Tineco Floor One S7 Steam scan the level of dirt on the brush roll and will eventually ask you to execute automatic cleaning. It's a fully automatic process and takes about 3 minutes divided into three phases:
- High speed roller washing with clutch on the base
- Suction of dirt and washing of pipes with powerful suction
- Steam washing
- Drying with very high speed rotation
The result is spectacular! No trace of dirt remains on the roller which instead returns "as new". In this model, steam sanitization is added which lowers the bacterial load and consequent bad odors.
The base obviously also takes care of the recharge it uses about 4 hours to get to 100%, therefore even less than the 4/5 hours suggested by the company. With a full charge you can reach them 40 minutes of autonomy in automatic mode, a value which can therefore vary based on the amount of dirt it encounters. In steam mode the autonomy is obviously halved to 20 minutes, which is still an adequate value.
Also considering the large tanks, we can tackle even an extended washing session, without having to worry about having to refill.

Tineco makes available its great app where you can connect all your brand products and which includes some secondary but still useful functions.
In addition to the usual firmware update, the choice of language/volume of voice feedback, viewing of the guides and choosing the cleaning mode, including the suction mode present only in the app.

Tineco Floor One S7 Steam – Price and final opinions
I confess that I was prejudiced on the Tineco Floor One S7 Steam because the previous model lacked practicality, both due to the wire and the weight and I would never have replaced it with a classic floor cleaner, if anything placed side by side.
In this model the situation is the opposite and the practicality is appreciated but with the added value of steam It offers unattainable performance in both cleanliness and hygiene. The price also surprised me because it is even cheaper than the 7 Pro, with a list price of €699 on the Tineco Store or often on offer on Amazon.
