It will be possible to send files on WhatsApp via Bluetooth

Have you ever wished send files quickly to those close to you, without the need to exchange telephone numbers or email addresses? WhatsApp seems to have found the perfect solution. The new feature, currently under development, promises to significantly simplify the file sharing process on WhatsApp by taking advantage of the tech Bluetooth. Here's how the upcoming feature, spotted in the app betas, will work.

File sharing via Bluetooth on WhatsApp coming soon

WhatsApp, with its latest beta update 2.24.2.20, is introducing a feature that could really change the rules of the game: the file sharing via Bluetooth. This new option, still in the beta testing phase and available on Google Play, will allow users to share files with people in the immediate vicinity in an intuitive and secure way.

Instead of resorting to the usual ways, such as emails or telephone numbers, a simple gesture will be enough: shake your device. This will create a sharing request, and once both users open the dedicated section in the app, the file transfer will be encrypted and secure. There end-to-end encryption will ensure that shared files remain protected, even in unfamiliar network environments.

But what are the real benefits of this new feature? First of all, the speed. File sharing becomes immediate, without having to go through intermediaries. Furthermore, the privacy is a priority: phone numbers remain hidden if users are not already in contact on WhatsApp, offering an additional layer of security. This functionality is therefore ideal for those situations where it is necessary transfer files quickly and directly.

Bluetooth file sharing on WhatsApp represents a significant step forward in managing digital communication. It not only improves the user experience, providing a practical solution for a variety of scenarios, but also reaffirms WhatsApp's commitment to constantly improve its features. While this feature is still in development at the moment, we look forward to testing it as soon as an official app update is available.
