Xiaomi monitors released in recent years have always brought excellent value for money. One of the last presented is the Redmi 1A (23,8 inches) with a price of only 499 yuan (62 €).
Xiaomi ready to launch a 27 ″ monitor and 165Hz refresh rate
Well apparently the brand could finally release something more premium dedicated to gamers. The news comes from an Indian leakster, Ishan Agarwal, who on Twitter would have just revealed that Xiaomi would be ready to launch a 27-inch gaming monitor with a 165Hz update rate.
As for the rumors from China instead, a blogger called Juxun Gate had claimed that the brand was working on two different monitors, one marked Xiaomi and one Redmi. As mentioned previously, Redmi has already presented its monitor a couple of weeks ago, or the Redmi Display 1A, thus confirming the leak. This means that in the next few weeks Xiaomi's one may also arrive.
This hypothetical monitor should have a diagonal of 27 inches and a refresh rate of 165Hz so as to become a great option for gamers. The monitor should then be accompanied by a smaller 24,5-inch diagonal always with a refresh rate of 165Hz and two non-gaming monitors of 29,5 inches with UHD 4K resolution and 27 inches (resolution not revealed). In any case, if these rumors prove to be true, the 27-inch e-sport monitor could arrive in July.
Chinese media also reported that Xiaomi's display division wants to expand its product line to more than 20 different models within a year, with a possible move to global sales if more than 30 million units are sold within one year in China.
Finally, Redmi should follow Xiaomi with several 23,8-inch and 27-inch e-sport ready monitors, in addition to an ordinary 27 ″ one. These monitors are expected to arrive later this year.
