At the beginning of July there was evidence of the existence of a new smartphone Xiaomi with code name Gauguin. At the end of July, however, the Geekbench portal told us something about another device called Apollo. We are quite certain that what the latter is really Xiaomi mi 10 ultra which should be presented the day after tomorrow with great fanfare. Consequently we can assume that Gauguin will be his cheaper counter-offense ie Redmi K30 Ultra . A few minutes ago a well-known leaker published codes relating to these products revealing them characteristics of cameras. But not only.
There are Global variants of Xiaomi Apollo and Gauguin: there is a lot of confusion and therefore let's try to shed some light
A very reliable leaker has posted poco makes some very interesting documents that they name Xiaomi Apollo and Gauguin. We know almost with certainty that these are the new flagships Xiaomi mi 10 ultra e Redmi K30 Ultra which will be presented on Tuesday from Lei Jun. But what are their characteristics from a photographic point of view? Well, these codes seem to reveal all the secrets.
Taking a look at these lines of code we see first of all that, in addition to there being also one Pro version, there are models aimed at various markets: Chinese, global and Indian. What interests us is Apollo, or the alleged Mi 10 Ultra, in version Global enviroment. We see that the standard version will be equipped with three cameras with 64 megapixel main sensor; the Pro version, on the other hand, will always have three lenses but the primary sensor will be 108 megapixels. There is something wrong though: why are there four cameras in yesterday's poster? Maybe the hint of fake we had was true.
We continue with Gauguin: in the same way as its twin brother, this one also has three variants for the different markets and equally mounts three optics for the standard and Pro versions. In this case, however, the main sensors are to be 64 megapixels for both. In short, an almost exact copy of the aforementioned device. Unfortunately the speech relating to the number of sensors does not return, there is something strange underneath. We just have to wait another two days and really see what photographic module the two devices will mount.
