OneDrive and MIUI: a new synergy for backup
The collaboration between Xiaomi and Microsoft marks an important step in the evolution of backup services for Xiaomi, Redmi and smartphone users POCO. With the'OneDrive integration, an integral part of the Microsoft ecosystem, in MIUI users can now easily store their multimedia contents in a safe and reliable way. At the moment it is not known whether Xiaomi will extend the backup to OneDrive also on HyperOS but let's assume so, since almost all smartphones will update in the future.
Until poco long ago, the only option available for backup on these devices was Google Drive, which offers 15GB of free storage. Supported smartphones and necessary requirements
In addition to the device model (you can find them listed below), you need have a Global or Xiaomi.eu ROM and not be located in some specific unsupported regions, such as Macau, Hong Kong, Russia, Belarus, Cuba. Furthermore, it appears that Xiaomi tablets will not enjoy OneDrive storage even though they have MIUI.
