Black Shark 2 Pro reviewed on DxOMark, the audio sector does not convince

Just yesterday we were talking about the possible arrival of the third generation of the Black Shark gaming phone in collaboration with the Chinese giant Tencent Games. Today, however, the review of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro arrives from France on the famous photo rating site DxOMark. In this case, however, the camera on board the gaming phone was not judged, but its audio sector; let's find out more!

Black Shark 2 Pro reviewed on DxOMark, the audio sector does not convince

Let's start with the final score that settles at 51 points, so a score that you can't be very proud of as one of the worst, second only to the Sony Xperia 1 with 45 points. As also for the reviews of the photographic sector, the score is divided into two categories: playback and recording, or reproduction and recording.

The Black Shark 2 Pro scored 51 points for audio playback. The strengths of the audio sector include an excellent performance for the dynamism of the sound and few unpleasant noises. While negative DxOMark has found a sound a bit too muffled especially for the lack of deep bass, limited spatialisation due to the asymmetrical positioning of the speakers and a low volume in general.

Turning to audio recording, Black Shark's gaming phone did even worse here with a final score of 39 points. In particular, the Black Shark 2 Pro managed to record audio files with a high volume, while the spatialisation proved to be decent. Going back to the negative sides, the smartphone has recorded a large number of artifacts, such as hisses and distortions. It also presented a huge lack of bass, the mid range was high and the treble too pungent, for a fairly unnatural final result. Finally, the device has not proved capable of recording perfectly in noisy places due to the numerous artifacts.

In conclusion, a somewhat negative score for a smartphone that should have the audio sector as one of the strengths for a more immersive gaming experience.

What do you think about it? Are you a Black Shark 2 Pro owner? If yes, what do you think of the audio? Let us know in the comments section below!
