Xiaomi Hub Gateway in crowdfunding: up to 100 Bluetooth devices and 200 with Bluetooth Mesh
According to the page on Xiaomi Youpin's website, Xiaomi's gateway hub can be used as the "central brain" of smart homes and different types of smart devices can use it as a hub to receive instructions, thus realizing interactive planning between different devices. Also for this reason, the number of devices that can be accessed from the Xiaomi gateway hub is crucial.
Well, according to official data, the Xiaomi gateway hub has a Bluetooth Mesh gateway inside that allows us to be able to connect up to 200 Bluetooth Mesh devices at the same time. Or, alternatively, up to 100 Bluetooth (non Mesh) devices can be connected at the same time.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi Hub Gateway comes with an integrated signal amplifier, so even if the smart device is very far away, it can be connected without too many problems.
As if that were not enough, the Xiaomi gateway hub also adopts a local hub architecture, this means that it can still perform a localized connection according to preset scenarios in the event of an anomaly in the external network, instead of being completely paralyzed after disconnecting the network.
In any case, according to the official store page, the Xiaomi Hub Gateway crowdfunding campaign will start at 10:00 on 23 March. During the crowdfunding period, the product will have a price of 309 yuan, about 44 euros at the exchange rate, while the retail price will be 349 yuan, about 50 euros at the exchange rate, after its official launch.
