It is enviable as in recent years Xiaomi, while not a smartphone-only company, has focused almost obsessively on the photo gallery of their mobile devices. We saw this initially with the Mi Mix 3 which remained for a long time in third position in the ranking DxOMark as for the selfie camera and second for the selfie camera. Currently the Mi Mix 3 has been surpassed by the last born of the Xiaomi house, the My 9a score of 112 in the photographic department and 99 in the video one. As if these achievements were not enough, recently Xiaomi has decided to partner with Light, a leading company in the production of devices multi cam.
Xiaomi and Light: new partnership with the penta-cam phone company
Remember when we showed you the photograph with the watermark that read “SHOT ON MI AT THE PENTA CAM“? Here, we initially proposed that it was a fake but it may not be quite the case. Indeed Light is the company behind the development of penta-cam on board the Nokia 9 PureView: this device relies precisely on 5 cameras who work in unison to create a “technically” excellent photograph, a bit like how it works Deep Exposure after all. After Sony and Nokia therefore, Xiaomi has also entered into an agreement with the company specialized in the photographic sector but up to now no official statement has been made except "We are excited to partner with Light to leverage their advanced imaging solutions for our future devices" by the vice president of smartphone camera division of Xiaomi Zhu Dan.
What we can imagine is that Xiaomi's next flagship device will be able to count on a much more aggressive photographic sector than the triple-cam presented on Mi 9 and maybe right on that penta-cam that made us dream a few months ago. Furthermore, the excellent value for money that distinguishes Xiaomi compared to other OEMs will make this hypothetical device (once again) one of a kind.
