The director of the Xiaomi smartphone software department, Zhang Guoquan, has just announced that the Xiaomi Mi 10 series has been certified by Netflix to support HD and HDR10 videos.

Zhang Guoquan said that to implement this function it was necessary to send one Xiaomi Mi 10 to the Netflix headquarters which then tested the smartphone. Obviously this function is mainly useful for users outside of China as the video streaming service is not present in the Asian country.
So both the Xiaomi Mi 10 base and the Pro version will be compatible immediately with Netflix HD, that is, they will be able to play videos in high resolution. In any case, to take advantage of the service you will need to purchase the Netflix Premium package at a price of 15,99€ per month which allows you to play videos in Ultra HD 4K and HDR up to four devices at the same time. The Basic and Standard packages from 7,99€ and 11,99€ per month respectively arrive at HD resolution.
