EXCLUSIVE: Confirmed the display refresh rate on Redmi K30 Pro

From China, a relatively disheartening news has just arrived regarding the next flagship killer of the Xiaomi sub-brand, we refer clearly to the Redmi K30 Pro. As you may have already guessed from the title, the news has to do with the display that we will find at device board; let's find out more.

Confirmed the display refresh rate on Redmi K30 Pro

Redmi K30 Pro display refresh rate

As we can see in the post of the product director Wang Teng, on the social Weibo (the Chinese Twitter), the Redmi K30 Pro will adopt a display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. But let's read the whole message:

We had to talk about the screen on the K30 Pro tomorrow, but I decided to bring it forward now.

There are both surprises and regrets regarding the screen this time. It is truly a pity that everyone pays attention only to the refresh rate, which in this case is 60Hz.

There is therefore no high refresh rate, but the screen quality is exceptional. All the details will be revealed tomorrow, but today I anticipate one: the smartphone equips a high-quality Samsung AMOLED panel.

Wang Teng

So Wang Teng understands that bringing a screen with a refresh rate of only 60Hz is somewhat disappointing for all fans of the brand. The product director also regrets that the refresh rate has almost become the most important specification on a smartphone, but unfortunately it is so, we add. We say this especially in light of the fact that all the major smartphone manufacturers have released devices with high refresh rate screens. Even the predecessor of the K30 Pro, or the basic K30, had a 120Hz screen, even though it was of the LCD type and therefore of a lower quality.

Now it is not clear to us why Redmi has decided to go with a less fluid display, but most likely it is a strategic choice not to affect the sales of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series. In fact, many could argue that with a 90Hz AMOLED screen and truly full screen design with no camera hole, the K30 Pro is in many ways better than the Mi 10.

By the way, how We learned previously, the Redmi K30 Pro will adopt faster internal memory technology at least on paper. Let's talk about UFS 3.1 which should perform better than Xiaomi Mi 3.0's UFS 10.

Redmi K30 Pro will adopt the new UFS 3.1 memory,

As for the other specifications, the smartphone will equip the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, accompanied by LPPDR5 type RAM. While the only sector in which the K30 Pro will do worse than the Mi 10 will be the photographic one. The Redmi flagship will in fact use a 64MP main camera instead of 108MP, and we expect to see the other sensors with lower resolutions as well.

Now tell us yours. What do you think of the K30 Pro with 60Hz screen? Were you disappointed too? Let us know in the comments section below!
