First photographic samples from Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra: really not bad!

120 is a magic number: so we entitled an article a few days ago, in reference to the photographic sector of Xiaomi mi 10 ultra. In fact, this number is important for the device considering it owns one maximum recharge up to 120W, a display that supports a refresh rate up to 120Hz but above all one digital zoom up to 120x. And it is precisely the latter that interests us here as the first photographic samples arrived from China via Ice Universe. The result? They look really good to us, but let's leave the last word to you.

Before seeing the images it should be remembered that the main photo sensor of this device is not 108 megapixel. It is a Omnivision 48 megapixel OV48C. You will say that in fact 108 megapixels is an exaggerated number but the importance behind this perspective is related to the fact that it is not from Samsung or Sony. In fact, unlike previous models, Mi 10 Ultra has a main sensor built in China: this also contributed to the slightly lower costs than we expected. But now we see the shots with the various zooms.

As you can read in the captions, from left to right, the zooms used to take these photos are respectively 0.5x, 1x e 5x. It is optical zoom, supported by this device up to 10x. The three photos were taken by the sensor Sony IMX20 350-megapixel wide-angle lens (left first), primary sensor above from 48 megapixel (photo in the center) and telephoto sensors (photo on the right). Recall that the optical zoom reaches up to 10x and therefore let's see the next photo that portrays the same building but in this size.

In the left photo we see it optical zoom at maximum power supported. Soon after we jump to digital coming up to 50x and 120x. Clearly in the last photo the sharpness is not the best but all in all the quality is excellent. Above all: when did we ever use such an advanced zoom? Ultimately, according to these samples, the photographic quality of the device is excellent and this supports the thesis that we have always supported: the number of megapixels is not everything. The proof is right before our eyes.
