You do not have the clues: the solution is and is even less complicated than expected! So if you have a Xiaomi Mi 5S and want to remove that damned Global Stable 8.0.3 follow this guide!

Disable driver signatures on your PC (required for Windows 10 and Windows 8)
- from the phone, go to settings -> device information and click 7 times on MIUI Version: in this way we will become developers
- always from the phone, now, let's go back to settings -> additional settings (the second item, not the one under "hotspot" but the one immediately following "memory") -> developer options and activate the Debug USB
Now let's turn off signatures on your PC.
- (if you have Windows 10 follow these steps and then proceed to the next step)notifications icon bottom right, click on all settings, then up upgrade and security, select the card for developers and choose the developer mode
- (if you have Windows 8 - continue here if you have Windows 10) restart by holding down the SHIFT key and, at restart, enter the TROUBLESHOOTING menu and then in ADVANCED OPTIONS
- then click on START SETTINGS and then on RIAVVIA. When you reboot, you will be presented with one list like this below and you will have to click F7 for disable driver signatures. The PC will restart automatically
Let's proceed with ROM replacement
First of all we have to temporarily disable our antivirus, Then we extract the tool from the downloaded zip.
At this point, we should already have debugging USB on our phone. Then we take the ADB folder and transfer it to C: /, thus getting the path C: / adb with 4 files inside. We connect the phone to the PC and there will be a notification at the top ("only charge"): we have to click on and select MTP mode.
Made this, we come in in the adb folder and while holding down the SHIFT key on the keyboard, click on a white dot of the folder with the RIGHT KEY. There will be a menu and from there we will select "Open a command window here". Now be ready to look at your Xiaomi display: write at the command prompt (WITHOUT VIRGIN) "Adb devices" and check that a notification appears on your phone. We must therefore tick the box "always allow debugging USB from this computer"And then give consent. Once this is done, an alphanumeric string will appear in the window on the PC followed by the word “device”.
We are ready. We can start.
We have to restart in recovery stock the Mi 5S: we keep pressed POWER and VOLUME UP and the phone will restart in recovery, that stock of Xiaomi you will recognize for the image of a phone with a cable. Now we start the tool from administrator (right button - run as administrator).
We will see the following message, where we will have to click YES.
When restarting, if the program does not restart automatically, restart it as an administrator and you will be in front of the main interface.
From the drop-down menu that we have expanded, as you can see there are several options.
We select "Select from Computer"And select the previously downloaded ROM WITHOUT EXTING IT FROM the ARCHIVE. You will need to have a .tgz file. At this point the game is done: click on "Install the ROM"And arm yourself with patience. When you restart your device, you will have the China Stable 8.0.22 to proceed with unlocking the bootloader.

Unlock the bootloader, you can install the TWRP custom recovery and then install the multilingual ROM xiaomi.eu (TWRP guide e installation guide xiaomi.eu) or install the ZCX recovery (ZCX guide) that keeps you updated OTA updates of official ROMs and installs Global 8.2.1 (Download Global Stable 8.2.1 zip version) which, surely, is better than 8.0.3.
