We had a couple of days ago reported from the Google I / O conference in which the Beta 3 of Android Q officially debuted. At the event we then discovered that 21 smartphones produced by OEM brands will be part of this program, including two Xiaomi branded devices, namely the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G
Well, today comes the first images shared by Zhang Guoquan, the director of the Xiaomi smartphone software sector, who seems to have already installed the future Google home on his device.
Android Q Beta 3 on Xiaomi Mi 9, here are the main bugs
As we can see in the picture above in fact, we have a Xiaomi Mi 9 immortalized with an international version of the Android Beta Q.
At first glance, it would seem that the Xiaomi Mi 9 continues to have the same button on the screen even on Android 10.0, the notification bar looks slightly different, while the system icons are the classic MIUI.
New features aside, the Xiaomi software director seems to have already found quite a few bugs. The main ones are:
- The alarm does not work if the device is switched off (normally it turns on automatically)
- It is not possible to use the Wireless Display feature as the device crashes and restarts
- After disabling the shortcut to change the device, the Settings app crashes
- The Settings application crashes after selecting a gesture
- The File application crashes after a refresh
- It is not possible to change the color calibration in Settings
- It is not possible to add a fingerprint to unlock the device
As we said before, these above are just some of the bugs found by Zhang Guoquan, there will probably be others still not found. In any case, despite the various bugs, we believe that having the possibility to install Android 10 in preview is a nice step forward for Xiaomi, especially for those who love Android in the Stock variant.
