In addition to the smartphones that are clearly the flagship of the Chinese giant Xiaomi, another category in which the market dominates both in China and globally is that of smart bands. As almost all of you will already know, the next in line of succession will be the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 which follows the Mi Band 3 presented about a year ago.
Well, today we received some preview images that show us the Mi Band 4 and some of the features we will find on board.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 in Preview, product photos and main features
As we can see in the pictures, the next Mi Band 4 has a design very similar to that of the Mi Band 3 currently on the market. In fact, we only notice a minimal difference in the finish around the display and (perhaps) a larger overall size.
The display seems even slightly wider and yes, finally we will have a color screen on the most popular fitness band in the world!
Moving on to the features instead, as suggested by the leaker and also by some photos, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 could be equipped with a voice assistant for artificial intelligence. As usual, however, it is better not to celebrate yet as it will most likely be available only in Chinese at least at the beginning. Having said that, given the unstoppable growth of Xiaomi in Italy and other European countries, it would not surprise us to see a Global version with English, Italian etc coming soon after.
In addition to the voice assistant that many do not use anyway, a feature that could make some people go crazy is the one that allows you to change songs directly from the band. As we can see in the picture below in fact, on the Mi Band 4 there seems to be a player with commands to pause, go to the previous or next song and even adjust the volume. This would make it a perfect fitness companion along with truly wireless headphones like the Redmi Airdots or Xiaomi Airdots Youth that lack some commands.
In conclusion, we admit that this last feature excites us a lot, does it apply to you too? Let us know in the comments section below!
[UPDATE] Some photos and code strings suggest the existence of a Mi Band 4 (code name "cinco") with NFC technology, a feature called "photography" which we believe is the one that allows the device to take pictures at distance by pressing an icon on the screen and the ability to set a lock password.
Disclaimer: The images have been extrapolated from the new MiFit app, we will add others to follow by thanking the user who sent them to us.
