Despite all the attention is directed towards the presentation event to be held on May 10 and in which we will take the first real look at the Xiaomi Max | Xiaomi Max specifications confirmed by GFXBench | and at the MIUI 8 (probably there will be no space for the 2 Mi Band due to a problem in the production line), the Chinese giant surprised us by removing the veil in the past few hours on the new Xiaomi Mi Canon accessory. Although from the name it may seem something related to photography (on the other hand, the Canon brand is a guarantee of that sector), it is a Bluetooth speaker.
We could define the Xiaomi Mi Canon as the worthy successor of the Mi Bluetooth Speaker | Unboxing and First Impressions of the Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker | presented poco over a month ago | Xiaomi Mi Router 3, Mi Water Purifier 2 and Me Bluetooth Speaker Official |. As you can see from the photos, the speaker body is extremely compact and, consequently, also light (just 125 grams). The compactness, however, should not be deceiving since a very good sound experience is promised, thanks to a special system designed to enhance the bass (real Achilles heel of such small speakers). Furthermore, thanks to the presence of over 1000 holes, there is no obstacle between the case and us.
As far as the autonomy is concerned, Xiaomi 1000 is reputed with 5 mAh internal battery. Unfortunately, we currently have no indication of the type of Bluetooth used and whether or not a microphone is present.
In any case, the Xiaomi Mi canon will be on sale in the next few days in China in three different colors and at a price of only 99 yuan which, at the exchange rate, is equivalent to about 14 euros.
