The 24 February of this year, or the day before the beginning of the MWC 2019, Xiaomi held a conference in that of Barcelona in which they presented different devices. The ones that most made headlines were obviously the Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship and little brother Mi 9 SE, while the new variant of the MIX 3 with 5G connectivity remained in the memory of a few.
This is also due to the fact that, to date, the terminal is still not available for purchase, but the situation should change within poco.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G coming with larger battery
From China comes the news of the appearance of Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G at the China Unicom Partner Conference. For the less knowledgeable, this is a conference held by the Chinese telephony giant China Unicom in which it meets many of the partners they work with, such as Xiaomi.
At the Xiaomi event he then brought the new Mi MIX 3 5G, the first smartphone in the world with no-notch design and the latest integrated 5G module. This winning combination was then tested on-site with the results we see below, that is well 929Mbps in download and 78.5Mbps in upload (clearly limited by the provider). But perhaps the most surprising data is the ping of only 11ms, a result that is difficult to obtain on a wired network for many.
In addition to the 5G modem, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50, the Mi MIX 3 5G differs from the previous version also due to the presence of the new latest-generation processor, the Snapdragon 855. This has also led Xiaomi to adopt a new cooling technology that keeps temperatures at bay even under heavy effort.
Finally, perhaps the change we all appreciate the most is the battery size now from well 3800mAh, a big step forward compared to the 3200mAh of the non-5G.
All other specifications aboard the Mi MIX 3 5G remain unchanged instead. We will therefore find an 6,39 inch AMOLED screen with 2340 × 1080 resolution and screen to body ratio of 93.4%; two front cameras of 24MP and 2MP to create photos with the blur effect, while on the back we have two 12MP sensors with wide-angle lens stabilized at 4 axes and telephoto.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G presented at 599 € will be sold in Europe in May.
