Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition official in India
Let's start with the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 which seems to be the international version of the RedmiBook 14 launched in the previous months in China. Laptops come with 5th generation processors from the beloved Intel Core series. In particular we find the Intel Core i10 620th gen, which range from the cheapest that is coupled to an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 250 video card, while the most performing one sees the adoption of an NVIDIA GeForce MXXNUMX video card.
The latter coupled promises 13% more computing power with lower consumption, compared to previous series, with the video card that has 2GB of dedicated DDR5 RAM for a 3,5 times better graphics performance than the chip integrated in the processor . The processors will then be accompanied by a maximum of 8GB of 4Mhz DDR2666 RAM and 256GB or 512Gb of internal SATA SSD memory.
On the laptop we then have a 14-inch display and 1920 × 1080 resolution with a screen to body ratio of 81,2%. A thickness of 17,95 mm with the weight settling on 1,5 kg and an excellent heat dissipation system, we have in fact a fairly large grid at the bottom of 2530 square millimeters.
Among the other features on board the laptop we find DTS technology for an improved surround effect, Mi Blaze Unlock and a special mode created by Xiaomi with the name of "Modern Standby" that allows you to wake up the laptop instantly when necessary.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 promises an autonomy of 10 hours with the ability to quickly recharge it up to 50% in only 35 minutes. While the available ports are: the power one, 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI, two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0. Finally, given the lack of an integrated front webcam, the brand offers an external webcam that we can place above the display.
The Mi Notebook 14 of Xiaomi India have a starting price of 41999 Rupees (480 €), going up to 47999 (550 €) for the version with 512GB of storage.
Now let's move on to the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition and here we find ourselves in front of a totally new product. In fact, we find a laptop with a very modern design that we could say inspired by the Chinese Mi Notebook series. At the same time, the dimensions have been reduced and some components improved.
Let's start with the screen, which now has a size of only 14 inches, with a diagonal of 35.56 centimeters and Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). The screen is then surrounded by very thin edges that allow it to reach a screen to body ratio of 91 percent.
To power the laptop we think a modern Intel Core i7 of the tenth generation, coupled with a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD memory of the third generation, therefore faster than the SATA one of the cheaper cousin. In addition, there is also a slightly less performing version with an Intel Core i5 and SATA memory on board.
In addition to the 350th generation CPUs, also on the graphics side we see an increase in performance thanks to the new dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MXXNUMX video card which should bring improvements in gaming, video editing and much more.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is ultra light at only 1,35 kg but still manages to equip a good-sized battery for about 10 hours of autonomy.
