Good news for those who were waiting for a new PC produced by Xiaomi to finally be able to put aside the now old laptop purchased a few years ago. In fact it would seem that our favorite brand is really close to the presentation of a new laptop, with the conference already scheduled for 26 in March.
Today, we finally managed to understand what kind of laptop it is and even the hardware that we will find on board thanks to a benchmark previously appeared online.

So let's start with the type of laptop, which in this case will be a Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air, which is the thinner, lighter and in many ways the attractiveness of the Chinese giant. How light? Well the last teaser released online would suggest a weight of just 1,07Kg, therefore quite reduced compared to the already graceful Mi Notebook Air of the previous generation which instead weighed 1,25 of kilograms.
In addition to the improved weight that will make it an even more attractive option for many businessmen, the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will have an eighth generation Intel processor; although at the moment it is not yet clear whether it is Core i3, i5 or i7.
That said, on the popular benchmark site GeekBench you can find a device codenamed TIM TM1814 which many are given as the next Xiaomi laptop. The processor on board that unit is an Intel Core Core i5-8265U which therefore should be among the choices available.
As far as performance is concerned, the GeekBench test gives us a score of 4412 in single-core mode and up to 12414 in multi-core mode, in line with the other devices equipped with the same processor. Finally, we also note the presence of 8GB of RAM, for many the minimum amount of memory in these days.
