The new laptop arrives with the typical design of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro series and is powered by 5th generation Intel processors. In particular, we find an i10210-7U in the basic version and an Intel Core i10-510-350U in the more premium model. In both cases there is an Nvidia GeForce MXXNUMX as a dedicated video card.
In terms of performance, the MX350 corresponds to a GTX 960M and is slightly slower than a GTX 1050. While compared to the previous generation MX250, the new GPU has many more shaders - 640 versus 384, although both are based on Pascal architecture (14nm). In any case, to keep temperatures low, Xiaomi has designed a dual fan and dual cooling tube solution.
The laptop comes with a basic storage space of 512 GB and NVMe SSD type, but there is also a 1 TB option. The RAM instead goes from 8GB to 16GB (DDR4 2666 MHz) depending on the version. The Mi NoteBook Pro 15 (2020) adopts a 15,6 ″ LCD display protected with Gorilla Glass 3, 1080p resolution, 300 nits of brightness and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.
In terms of ports, there are two USB Type-C ports on one side (next to an SD card reader) and two USB Type-A ports on the other, plus a 3.5mm headphone jack and HDMI port. Supported wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 5 (ac, 2 × 2) and Bluetooth 5.0 instead.
The laptop is powered by a 60 Wh battery which should last for up to 17 hours of video playback. This can be recharged at 50% in 40 minutes via USB Type-C port, which can also be used to recharge the smartphone up to a power of 18 W. Finally, we have a total weight of 2 kg, two 2,5-speaker , 10 W developed by the Harman Audio brand and Windows XNUMX Home as an operating system.
For prices, the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro 15 (2020) will be available in China starting from 6000 Yuan (€ 750) for the basic version (i5, 8GB / 512GB) and 7000 Yuan (€ 875) for the more premium version ( i7, 16GB / 1TB).
