A few days after the official marketing of Xiaomi Mi5 we discovered that the first in-depth review of the smartphone was uploaded to the network. In particular, we are talking about the "basic version" with 32 GB of internal storage. Before showing you the highlights of the review, we briefly remind you of the technical features of the Xiaomi Mi5 in question:
- Display from 5,15 inches with QHD resolution and glass protected Corning Gorilla Glass 4;
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with 64 quad core CPU and Adreno 530 GPU;
- 3 GB of RAM memory;
- 32 GB of non-expandable UFS 2.0 internal storage;
- 16 Megapixel rear camera with OIS to 4 axes;
- Front 4 MP Camera;
- Fingerprint sensor;
- Dual SIM connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC
- Battery from 3000 mAh with support for the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard
First of all, we start from the sales package that contains smartphone (of course), battery charger (5V 2A), Type-C USB data cable, SIM card tray, quick guide and warranty guide.
Instead of telling you about the qualities of the smartphone already widely discussed in the past The power of Xiaomi Mi 5 in the first benchmarks - Here's how the Xiaomi Mi5 fingerprint sensor works |, we will focus on some completely new points.
First, as you can see from the screenshot above, the user's space is 25,57 GB, which means that Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the MIUI 7 occupy much less space than the competition.
As for video playback, the formats supported by the smartphone are MKV, MP4, M4V, AVI, XVID while there is also full support for the H.265 codec for playing 4K movies. What should not be overlooked then there is also support for FM radio.
Analyzing the battery and the autonomy of the smartphone, the author of the review declares approximately 1 day and a half of duration with a fairly light use (social, online video, games and calls). However, having support for the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard, you can reload about the 70% of the capacity in just 1 now.
At the end some CONS of this smartphone are proposed which, in part, we share. For example, the lack of waterproofing is a CONS as well as the lack of a memory expansion slot via micro SD. In any case, we are talking about a device with a truly negligible cost for what it offers.
