In the morning today, Xiaomi presented the new version of a gadget a little out of the ordinary that probably many of us did not know or thought we needed to date. We are talking about the Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioning Companion 2 which will be sold starting from 10: 00 of 7 in May to the amount of 79 Yuan (about 10 €).
The first generation of the Mijia Air Conditioning Companion was initially presented two years ago, in May of the 2017, for the price of 169 Yuan (22 €), thus more than double. The decrease in price could however be due to the lack of some features present in the original device, but it remains the fundamental one, that is the remote control of your air conditioner.

In fact, if we look at the functionalities on board the 2 Companion, among them we do not find that of Gateway (present in the first device), but “only” those of remote control of the air conditioner, automatic temperature regulation when in sleep mode, support for the voice assistant with artificial intelligence, consumption map, a huge code library for infrared devices and a "smart" connection.
Let's go then to discover in detail the most important features starting from the first, that of remote remote control. The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioning Companion 2 can configure your air conditioner through the use of infrared rays, with the Mijia app you can then control it from a distance, so for example you can turn on the air conditioner before you get home.
As for the assistant with AI and the smart connection, these two features allow the gadget to work in cooperation with the temperature and humidity sensors produced by Xiaomi to adjust the air conditioner through voice commands or automatically according to the various parameters (changes of temperature etc ..).
Thanks to the large number of infrared codes to control different devices it will then be possible to configure it with almost all the air conditioners on the market.
Finally, even if Xiaomi has not yet published the specifications, we expect the smart socket to support a power of 4000W and 16A, so that it can work with as many air conditioners.
Frankly, I don't know if it serves anything, even now with the smartphone you can safely manage your home air conditioner.
