This afternoon the Chinese technology giant Xiaomi has launched two new sets of smart gas cookers, the first being an upgrade of the Mijia Cross-Border Smoke Stove Set S1 presented in 2021 and the second is the Mijia Smart Side Smoking Stove S1, with the main difference being the presence of a lateral suction system.

Going to the specifications, according to official data, the Mijia Smart Side Smoking Stove S1 is able to move a large air volume of 22 m³/min, supports hand gestures and smoke hood connection, it can also suck smoke automatically without any command when it detects smoke. As for the suction, the hood has one static pressure of 400 Pa, while the stoves support a maximum firepower equivalent to 4500W.
As for the design, the Mijia Smart Side Range Hood S1 hood is designed with an inclination angle of 33 degrees. This means that when standing to cook, the view forms a parallel angle with the oblique section of the hood, which should improve the user experience.
The hood uses a 720mm black mirrored tempered glass panel and adds an 896mm wide opening and closing smoke partition to easily cover the area where the oil smoke rises. With the 60° automatic opening and closing panel, it can effectively collect smoke even if the two stoves are working at the same time.
Finally, the Mijia Smart Side Range Hood S1 also supports automatic boost function which can automatically detect the change of wind pressure in the flue, intelligently match the wind force and wind pressure, and evenly discharge smoke during the periods of maximum cooking. Furthermore, the hood can be connected to the Mijia app and controlled through the Xiaomi XiaoAI virtual assistant.
